Have you ever wanted a day on the coast dedicated to writing? Are you looking for motivation, trying to find your muse, and up for a good adventure? Why not join us for another Writing Workshop Adventure.

In our fifth installment of outdoor writing workshops, we are headed for Gabarus. Located along the shores of the Atlantic Ocean, this small fishing village is wrapped in a landscape and tradition much like that which has inspired some of the Maritime’s greatest stories. Take in the smell of wild roses intermingled with salt air, the sight of an endangered lighthouse watching guard over a quiet fishing harbour, and the story of a community which dates back nearly 300 years. Gabarus, Cape Breton is sure to fill your head with ideas and inspiration to spark your writing.

This day-long workshop is ideal for beginners as well as more seasoned writers looking for an immersive motivational escape. We provide snacks, tea, supper, chocolate fondue, literary exercises and free time to write. You bring yourself and a willingness to get your words down on paper.

So… if you want to set aside a day devoted to writing, don’t mind a bit of physical activity (total 2km coastal walking), enjoy the company of like-minded people, and want to be part of something different, join us for a genuine Cape Breton adventure on Saturday, September 19.
